Markzware’s flagship, stand alone application, FlightCheck Professional just came out in a new version, version 5.8. This version contains enhanced readers for open file types as well as the full Ghent PDF WorkGroup compliant PDF Plus rule sets, including Pass4Press in the UK.
With this new version of FlightCheck Professional/Designer (v5.8) it is now possible to check your open file types (Quark XPress, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Publisher, etc.) and validate your PDF documents according the Ghent PDF WorkGroup (GWG) specifications. In the past, it was difficult to create a good PDF because of the enormous variety of settings that could be made. Now, with the nine standard GWG profiles, most every printing need is covered, and every one can be validated with FlightCheck.
Markzware is fully certified to preflight and validate PDF-files made with one of these profiles and provide clear reporting of problems found. Simply load FlightCheck’s PDF FlightPlan and choose one of the nine profiles to begin preflighting.
